Seeing Red

posted Saturday, 2 August 2008

Red RoadThe tasteless drunks who attempt to run Liuzhou are going flat out for the total insanity record!

The have proudly announced that the two roads going through the city's People's Square are being paved with red asphalt to make them "more attractive" and "conducive to the operation of vehicles". The morons haven't asked themselves why there are roads running through what was a car free square anyway!

Still, it is only costing around 1.4 million yuan* to colour a 320 meter, 9-12 meters wide area.

I'd have done it with a few pots of Dulux for just the round million! But then the government guy whose brother-in-law happens to be a red asphalt supplier wouldn't get the kick back!

Maybe these red roads are used to welcome Beijing Olympic Games. Usually Chinese symbol colour of celebration is red.
