Random Photograph No. 9

Ninth in a series of pictures, taken in Liuzhou, which amuse me.

Taxi Hailing

This picture is from Nanguo Jinbao (South China Modern News), one of the most popular local newspapers. The story was about the shortage of taxis on the streets during the Qingming Festival last weekend. All the drivers decided to take a holiday, too.

I just love the elegance of the outstretched hand.

It was a bit of a Fire Drill, going to the tombs. I was there Sunday with a few thousand of my close friends. Interesting to go and watch once, the air full of wax and incense and people from all walks of life. I really wanted to take some photos but no one else in the throng had a camera out so I decided it wasn't a good idea. No way for a rather large laowai to be inconspicuous in that environment!

I'd like to offer something to any kind of liberal-minded musicians in China

- It is NOT connected with money.

- Preferably they should be people with more social awareness and culture.

I don't know where even to start searching for them. Can you help me? You can use my email.

Don't reply if you have nothing useful to say, I hate waste of time.

"Don't reply if you have nothing useful to say, I hate waste of time."

So why are you wasting my time?

Your cryptic message wastes my time. If you have something to say, be direct.

The fact that yoiur comment has no relevance whatsoever to the post you have commented on is a waste of my time.

I will not be emailing you.

I love these pictures. The perspective gives a sense of the proximity of the crowd and a sense of familiarity. Hey I have no idea what the photographer wanted to convey, but I know what I like. Good job, and Good eye.
