A few weeks ago, the locals erected this obelisk in the least visited part of Liuzhou's pedestrian street. It depicts various scenes from what is meant to be the city's history.

Included is Liuzhou's most significant historical character, writer and statesman, Liu Zongyuan. (In China, click here.) As part of the Chinese New Year celebrations a bunch of the locals re-enacted scenes from his life.

你好! 我十分想见你!
hey mate!
how can i meet u in liuzhou?
i will leave at the end of this month.
I might email if you left me your email address. I will not text you. I
don't give out my number to strangers I "meet" on the internet and suggest
that you don't either.
Notice how I've not offered to "meet" you. Gotta be careful...we
Americans tend to carry guns, ya know! ;)
I can't say I've noticed the smoking. In all my wife's family and friends
only Grandma smokes. Also, I like the pickles and Luosifen!
