Chinese parents are noted for their single-mindedness in ensuring that their children maximise their potential by passing as many exams as possible. This is more so today than even a few years ago. Jobs are just getting more difficult to find.
Yesterday, one group of parents in Chaohu city in Anhui Province decided to increase their brats' chances by sitting down and blocking the road outside the examination centre where the kids were having an English listening exam as part of the entrance examinations for senior middle school. Given the noise in the average street and drivers habit of blaring their horns every few seconds, this is probably not a bad idea.

Maybe I can organise something similar near me. Unfortunately, the noisest thing around here is the middle school next door!
From here.
