O, blood, blood, blood!
Today is World Blood Donor Day. They take this pretty seriously round here and send mobile clinics in buses to many factories and colleges to drain the workers and students of their blood. Of course, a lot of propaganda is also used to get the populace out baring their arms.
Fortunately, they have cleaned up their act considerably since the days when they managed to spread HIV throughout an entire area of Henan province by using infected needles. See here. Today, they are using sensible precautions.
Of course, you are wondering if I am giving any of my precious bodily fluids. Well I did offer, but they decided that I didn't have enough for myself and offered to supply me with some! Just as well, really. After the skinful I had last night, my blood is probably 75% alcohol anyway.
