What a wonderful resource Technorati is. But for it, I would probably never found this bizarre tale.
According to an article in Land + Living, a journal of modern design, the housing development pictured below is to be built here in Liuzhou.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the only mention of this I can find anywhere (apart from this article) is the website of the designers themselves and an article in the Shanghai Star which suggests that the project has already been built. It hasn't.
No one here in Liuzhou seems to have heard of it. Personally, I can't see this as something the (rather conservative) locals would go for.
In any case, Land + Living are pretty scathing about the project, which if it does go ahead would scar one of the prettier parts of the city's landscape.
