Hot tips!

posted Thursday, 14 February 2008
Out of pure generosity, I am going to pass on a couple of tips.

When you are blind drunk, it is NOT a good idea to drive and when you get arrested, it is very much NOT a good idea to try to escape by sitting on top of the police car. That doesn't work.

Drunk

The picture is from the local rag. Most unusually, they have disguised his features. I wonder how much that cost him.

And I take it you don't mean the Automobile Association. (British joke!)

One more thought on this topic before my sentence in Liuzhou finally comes to an end...

LZ has FAR more (marked) police cars than where I live in GD. You literally can't go a five minutes here without another white Gong An car whzzing by. And MAN to they have some nice ones here...I've seen THREE big Mercedes cop cars so far. No one finds that strange? There are also a LOT more "white license tag" cars here. I hate those bas--rds. Park anywhere they want. I guess my main point is that, wile it may look good on the surface to see such a large police presence, it's actually quite unnerving. Like the guys in green who march around downtown in goose step with billy clubs. Don't see that where I come from.

Needless to say, since I'm married into a full-on cop family I don't run my mouth a lot about what I'm thinking... And they drive crappy QQ's! Sucks to be an ethical person here.

Wow, I missed this one. I am no longer surprised by anything I see here in Liuzhou. Sadly, the only thing surprising, as you mentioned, is that they blurred his face!
