Expensive ducks' feet

I spotted this in the local news today.
A Liuzhou barman, a Mr Huang, was sacked for theft after eating four ducks’ feet belonging to the bar. Not only was he fired, but his last month’s salary of ¥430 (£28 / 57 US$) was withheld. Expensive ducks’ feet? It gets worse.
Mr Huang felt that this was a bit excessive and so he complained to Liuzhou work supervision department and tried to sue. The authorities investigated and discovered that the bar was in violation of fire regulations. So, they shut the place down and fined the owners ¥15,000 (£984 / $1,998).

Personally, you would have to pay me a lot more to persuade me to eat the disgusting things. I have never seen the point of China’s fascination for chewing on lumps of gristle. They use more energy in the chewing than the wretched things provide. Negative nutrition!
