I am
informed that a large Liuzhou building supplies market was burned down yesterday (Tuesday) morning. Around 600 square metres of the market was destroyed and it took 16 fire engines and crews two hours to bring the fire under control.
Oops! Someone parked their Wuling van in in the wrong place!
I'm actualy surprised that there are not more fires. What with sloppy building standards, highly dangerous electrical wiring and everyone smoking, you would expect more. The report ends by informing me that "The cause of the fire is being investigated." Well, there's a surprise! What would really surprise me would be if the cause was ever revealed. Usually, in these cases nothing is ever heard again.
