Trouble in the water

It isn't raining today. An old friend came to see me for a couple of days and it poured down the whole time. She left last night and the rain stopped. Typical.
The locals - especially the ones who live near the river - are nervous. Althought the rain has stopped, flooding doesn't always happen when it's raining here. The water comes from upstream! If it's raining there, we're in trouble.
So, this picture (from yesterday's local rag) is a bit unsettling. The kids are enjoying themselves, but ...
