ImageShack®. But their habit of regularly losing pictures has made me move to Photobucket. Imageshack managed to send me two emails in one day. The first apologised for permanently losing some pictures. The second said they had never lost a picture, ever, ever, ever. But they couldn't find the one I was complaining about. Idiots.

I have to point you in the direction of this story from essential reading site, Danwei. It has nothing at all to do with Liuzhou. In fact, it could hardly be much further away. But it had me crying with laughter.
Some bright spark conned the government of Inner Mongolia's capital city, Hohhot into blowing up their own offices to build the biggest building in Western China. They thought he was a rich Hong Kong business magnate. He was a carpenter from Hubei province. A Merry Prankster!
I have just been having visions of these greedy, corrupt idiots struggling to wake up from their post celebratory, banquet induced, alcohol related comas to find that they have been totally stiffed.
The guy should be made a National Hero First Class. And sent to Liuzhou!
By the way, Hohhot has the best name of any Chinese city. In Chinese it sounds like someone cracking up - either with laughter, choking to death or just having a nervous breakdown.
