slow train comin'
As a follow-up to my post yesterday, here are some pictures from the local rag showing happy locals at Liuzhou railway station and bus station and airport, yesterday. It's only going to get worse. They expect the peak around the 20th.
I was by there yesterday. A true sea of humanity, I am going back with the
camera. It was truly insane. Your advice to not travel is looking better
and better, wise old sage that you are.
I am always amazed how good natured and down right cheerful the Chinese
people seem when they are in convenienced. I imagine the holiday spirit
is in them.
I was in the Liuzhou bus station last spring. It was busy then. I can only
imagine how busy and crowded it must have been with everyone traveling for
the holiday. Thanks for the great blog and the pictures that take me back
to my short - too short - visit in Dragon City.
