I don't usually blog about international politics. There are others who do it much better than I ever could. It's just not an area of major interest to me. But, like many British people, I have long been proud of the BBC, independent - not reliant on advertising - impartial - not government controlled etc.
The only quote in their story which is of any interest is that from Zhong Aiqi who says “I think he has always treated us Chinese people very well. He said a great deal. His every sentence, every word has made an impression on my heart. It will be hard to forget what he said. I will remember it for the rest of my life. I was very, very excited.”
Aha! I see the seeds of discontent have been (somewhat!) sewn. ;)
I don't think I ever claimed to be contented.
I would love to see the cast-away piece by the BBC, by well it's, um,
"unavailable" at the moment-and of course I have no idea what a proxy
server is. ;) See, it's the little things like this that make my dislike of
this country grow and grow. Yes, I know I'm projecting, but with Talktalk
and Sinocidal gone, I have no where else to vent.
