Good Luck Bras

It's New Year's Eve. My neighbours are busy cleaning and preparing food. Or hanging up their red good luck door decorations. Either that or having showers. It is forbidden to wash tomorrow. You would be washing away your good luck.

Tonight, I will have a large meal with friends and family. For the rest of the week, I have filled the fridge and freezer with food in the hope that I won't have to go shopping for a while. Ten years ago, all the shops would close down for several days. Now only a few do. But holiday time is shopping time for the modern China. The shops will be packed.

Strangely, when I was stocking up on supplies, I was in the local supermarket / department store and happened to wander past the women's clothing section. No sniggering! There is nothing suspicious about this. They had moved everything around again and I couldn't find what I wanted. Anyway, I couldn't help but notice that all the bras in the shop were red! Every last one. New Year Bras? Good Luck Bras.

I wanted to show you and I did have my camera with me, but I thought that it might be a bit difficult to explain to the local cops why I was photographing women’s undergarments in the supermarket.  

So here's one I prepared earlier.
