It is astonishing what people get up to in the privacy of their own homes. Well, at least I've heard it is.
Now, I come across a Canadian living in Shanghai who, for reasons of his own, has decided to build a scale model of Liuzhou Airport. It seems that there are people who collect die cast models of planes then build airports to keep them in. Not only do they build these, but they have internet forums to share. Good for them.

The only reason I can think of for choosing Liuzhou Airport over any other is that it is small. Very. So it wouldn’t take up much room in your sitting room.
In fact the only 'fault' I can spot with the model airport is that it is far too busy. Two planes at the same time! And a helicopter? Never!
Here is a picture of the real terminal building.
For the record, my only interest in 'models' involves a quite different type and is not something to be discussed on a family blog.
I remember Liuzhou airport to be like Cleveland airport in 1970.
I like your definition of model much better. -on a pole

My next trip Hunan maybe?
I hate it when others use my wife's photo without permission.
